Trainee Accountant

We are seeking a trainee accountant to join our team. The ideal person will be one that has a desire for a long-term career in accounting, shows initiative and has a team/customer orientated attitude.

You will have exposure to (but not limited to) the following areas:

  • BAS/IAS preparation
  • Superannuation matters
  • Payroll matters
  • Administration assistance
  • ATO liaison and correspondence
  • Computerised bookkeeping including bank reconciliation (MYOB/Quickbooks/Xero)
  • Preparation of income tax returns and financial statements for a range of entities

Your responsibilities will grow as quickly as you are able to demonstrate your abilities. 

We offer both internal structured training on a regular basis on topical subjects as well as off-site training by professional training organisations as appropriate.

Skills & Experience

No previous experience is necessary for this position, although a willingness to learn and a proactive approach to duties are essential. It is preferred that you be proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

This is a full-time position; business hours are Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5pm and Friday 8am-4pm.

Experienced Accountant

We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team. The ideal person will be one that has a desire for a long-term career in accounting, shows initiative and has a team/customer orientated attitude.

As a member of our firm you can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Preparation of BAS/IAS
  • Preparation of income tax returns and financial statements for a range of entities
  • Superannuation matters
  • Payroll matters
  • Computerised bookkeeping including bank reconciliation (MYOB/Quickbooks/Xero)
  • Audit of self-managed superannuation funds
  • ATO liaison and correspondence

Your responsibilities will grow as quickly as you are able to demonstrate your abilities.

  • At least 2 years-experience in a reputable public practice firm
  • Valid working rights in Australia

 Administration Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic self-starter who can demonstrate initiative, has an eye for detail and a positive attitude.

This role includes a wide range of administrative duties including;

  • Reception duties, including meeting and greeting clients
  • Dealing with administration needs of accountants
  • Word processing and data entry
  • General stationery and office inventory
  • Running errands
  • Scanning and emailing
  • Banking
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
